We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Estimator to join our team.
In this role, you will be a key player in the construction process, responsible for estimating the cost of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for a range of projects.
This is a permanent position, offering the opportunity to work with a dynamic team on diverse and challenging construction projects.
Responsibilities:
1.
Prepare detailed HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system estimates based on project plans and specifications.
2.
Analyze mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC drawings and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
3.
Conduct site visits and study project drawings and specifications to understand the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
4.
Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring they meet all client requirements and deadlines.
5.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to provide cost data regarding project feasibility.
6.
Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
7.
Maintain current information on industry prices, including the cost of materials and labor.
8.
Participate in bid meetings and present estimates to stakeholders.
9.
Utilize specialized software for generating estimates and preparing bid proposals.
10.
Work closely with fabrication teams to understand the cost implications and manage any changes in design or scope.
Qualifications:
1.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system estimating in the construction industry.
2.
Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, mechanical systems, and piping.
3.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting show drawings and blueprints.
4.
Experience in bidding, estimating, and preparing accurate and competitive estimates.
5.
Familiarity with fabrication processes and their cost implications.
6.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
7.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
8.
Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
9.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
11.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on available information.
