Summary:
The Production Specialist responsible for project management and overseeing their team is running efficiently.
The Production Specialist manages all bottling projects from start to finish.
Reviews packaging materials and negotiates to optimize better pricing.
Oversees the bottling schedule and works with bottlers to ensure all stakeholder expectations are met.
This individual will be responsible for dry goods and inventory management which includes but is not limited to packaging, receipt, storage, tracking, and including the items needed to produce the case goods such as labels, foils, corks, glass, cartons, etc.
Daily duties can include data entry, purchasing decisions, shipping, bottling scheduling & bottling reporting, safety activities, and other activities related to the overall functioning of winery production.
Strong leadership, communication skills, and acute attention to detail will be critical to the success of this role.
This position has a high responsibility level and reports to the Operations Manager.
Essential Functions:
? Monitor dry goods inventory on a monthly basis to assist with ordering and to ensure adequate supplies are on hand for all projects.
? Establish and maintain relationships and a database of suppliers, shippers, updating as necessary to ensure quality, service, and optimum pricing for all materials.
Obtain quotes for products.
? Perform crucial daily data entry and generate required documents for a wide variety of reasons, including bills of lading, work orders, and bottling reports.
? Work closely with the marketing team to coordinate packaging changes, inventory management, and special projects as needed.
? Work closely with Winemaker, President of PWC, Creative Director, and other winery staff for special projects.
Inventory Management of appropriate inventory levels (in conjunction with manager) Monthly reconciliation of receipts vs.
AP Quarterly physical inventory counts for all locations due by March 30th, June 30th, September 30th, and December 31st.
Build a use-up dry goods program.
Reporting as needed Production / Procurement Create and manage bottling spec sheets.
Manage all re-work projects.
Run the company's Pre-Production meeting.
Sourcing of all dry goods (within parameters defined by manager) Supervise packaging quality control measures for all bottlings and cross-train procurement assistant to share this responsibility.
Cross-train with the Operations Manager to collaborate with the corporate team to determine optimal vendors and secure pricing with collective volumes.
Record bottling transactions in AMS to facilitate month-end COGS calculation.
Logistics / Scheduling Schedule 3rd party bottlings Manage the logistics of all bottlings and dry goods movement.
Act as liaison between the President of PWC and the winemaking/production team for bottlings Attend all company bottling meetings, take notes, and present a summary dashboard to production teams.
Training & Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise procurement assistant and logistic assistant.
Oversee job training and development for procurement assistant and logistic assistant directed by the Operations Manager Additional Functions:

Language:

Computer:
? Possess intermediate computer skills which can include e-mail, internet, word processing, spreadsheet, basic database activity, graphic arts and/or publishing.
Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses:
? Associates Degree or 12-24 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
? Current, valid Driver's License, insurable driving record, and proof of current automobile insurance required.
Physical Requirements:
? Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature.
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach, handle items, and work with the fingers.
May require lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs.

primarily a set schedule but may require weekends, periodic evenings, and/or periodic or seasonal overtime.
? Position may include minimal overnight travel and/or travel by auto or air.
