29 James Young Silver Cloud II cars were produced in total between January 1960 and September of 1962.
LCC8's chassis was ordered from Jack Barklay, Ltd by Miss E.

Allan of Glasglow, Lanark in Scotland, and delivered to James Young Coachbuilders on May 25th of 1961.
The build was completed and delivered to its new owner on November 11th, 1961, equipped with power windows, radio, and Dunlop white-sided tubeless tires.
This lovely old Rolls Royce includes a Heritage certificate showing it was sold to its second owner in the United States in April of 1975 and sold again at Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas in 1989.
The most recent owner purchased from Hill & Vaughn in Marina Del Rey in June of 1994 to use for special occasions until I was fortunate enough to acquire in 2020.
The car comes with a clear, clean California title.

2L 380 cubic inch V8 starts and runs quietly and smoothly with plenty of power.
The mileage shows 94,109 though the odometer is currently inoperable.
The previous owner believes the mileage is just over 100k.
Stopping is superb with new master cylinders, rebuilt servo, new brake cylinders, hoses, and shoes.
The suspension feels good, and the handling is nice.
It rides on an older set of bias-ply whitewall tires which could be upgraded to radials to further enhance handling.
The interior is attractive and comfortable.
Hill & Vaughn advertised the car as having new leather in 1994.
It appears to be Connolly and is in very nice condition.
The rear blue wool fabric is likely similar in age and is finished with cream piping.
The rugs appear to be Wilton wool.
The wood is in beautiful condition, likely refinished back then though there are a couple of areas that will need attention, the right rear opera window surround, which is delaminating, and an area at the left rear passenger compartment division top as shown in the photos.
Odometer aside, all of her gauges are in working order.
the radio is currently inoperable, though the power antenna does work.
The air conditioning and heating system will need servicing.
Otherwise, the older interior is in nice condition and has clearly benefited from living in its well-insulated and heated garage in the Silicon Valley over the last quarter-century.
The exterior is attractive and tidy.
The Hill & Vaughn advertisement from 1994 indicated that it had some body damage on the left rear quarter and doors and sold the car as-is.
When the car was purchased, it was sent to a paint shop in Marina Del Rey and was repaired at the cost of $4,800 prior to being shipped.
The paint is ample has a nice shine to it.
Some of the trim looks to have been refinished or replaced at some point, such as the bumpers, bezels, new reverse lamps, and some appear to be original and would benefit from replating, such as the boot lift handle, side moldings, and door handles.
Underneath, the floors are excellent though there is some common degradation at the inner-rockers, particularly in the area forward of the rear wheels.

Despite these considerations, the car is still very attractive and certainly usable exactly the way it is.
This is a lovely and very collectible example any Rolls-Royce collector will be proud to own.
